Photographic Documentary of Lower Thames Valley Landuses, 1994-97
In the early 'nineties, The Lower Thames Valley was the preserve of sprawling distribution centres, power stations and scrap yards. However, mixed amongst these industrial sites were small pockets of play and escape - allotments, cafés and riverside walks. In anticipation of the massive change that such slack landscapes inevitably undergo, I photographed the area over a period of four years to record this extraordinary heterogeneous place.
