Pavilion commissioned by Wallpaper* magazine for the Handmade exhibition at the Milan Furniture Fair 2012
Following the collaboration with Porro for the Handmade 2011 exhibition, Wallpaper* commissioned DKA to design the centrepiece pavilion for its 2012 show. The brief was to present a specially commissioned animation by Dutch artists Lernert and Sander in the courtyard of the Palazzo Brioni, Via Gesú. The idea of the pavilion was to frame both the film and the pale architecture of the palazzo in a small theatre space. The triangular form ensured that, as visitors walked through the courtyard, the pavilion gathered together a changing kaleidoscope of the Brioni animation, its audience and the palazzo.
DKA collaborated with Change Performing Arts on the design of the film projection.
