Exhibition of recent work by DKA

Our exhibition at the School of Architecture and Spatial Design, London Metropolitan University, sought to tackle the difficulty of exhibiting architecture. Rather than presenting drawings and photographs, the show used actual fragments of recent projects to change the interior of the gallery: the rooftop installation ‘A Room for London: Roi des Belges’, an apartment in Barcelona, an arts centre in Hackney Wick, a desk for the Milan Furniture Fair and an exhibition display system for the Design Museum. In the accompanying introductory lecture, David Kohn discussed the work in relation to scarcity, craft and  the city.

The exhibition and accompanying lecture marked five years since the office was established and followed three years after its first solo exhibition at London Metropolitan University, 'The Hedgehog and the Fox'.

The exhibition was accompanied by a printed guide with an introductory essay by Swiss art and architecture curator,  Moritz Küng.
